Cashew chicken

Some say its the peak of pleasure.

Ingredients for: 4 servings


Shan´shi ingredients

Additional ingredients

  • 350 gram of chicken meat
  • 2 cloves of garlic (finely chopped)
  • 1 red paprika (sliced)
  • 1 bunch of spring onions (cut into 5 cm long slices),
  • 100 gram of cashew nuts (roasted but not salted) and a dash of granulated sugar


  • Cut the chicken meat into small pieces. You might want to marinate it with 4 tbsp of soy sauce in order to intensify the flavour. Heat the wok oil. Fry garlic and chilies until they are gold brown.
  • Add the chicken meat and fry it for a minute, constantly stirring. Add red paprika, oyster sauce, soy sauce and sugar and allow the mixture to simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Mix in cashew nuts and spring onions and leave the mixture to simmer for another minute.


Serve with rice.
