Avocado Maki

Vegan maki love <3

Shan´shi ingredients

  • 150ml water
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 nori alga paper


  • Wash the sushi rice in a colander. Bring the sushi rice to a boil in a pot and let it braise under cover for 10-15 minutes at small heat. Put some water, if necessary.
  • If the water is absorbed and the sushi rice already has a soft cover, remove the pot from the heat. Put a clean dishtowel over the pot and let the rice soak for about 10 minutes.
  • Mix the sushi rice with rice vinegar and allow to cool down to room temperature with stirring.
  • Cut the avocado into halves, remove the pip and separate the pulp with a spoon. Then cut into 1/2cm strips.
  • Put the nori alga paper on the bamboo mat and spread the sushi rice on it (leave about 1 cm uncovered at the top).
  • Put the avocado strips at center and spread with wasabi paste.
  • Roll the bamboo mat with the rice and press down firmly.
  • Open the bamboo mat and cut the role in 1.5cm pieces. Then arrange on a plate.
  • Serve some soy sauce in a small bowl.
